El Villarreal quiere afianzarse en zona Champions
Llega el Villarreal a Anoeta (ahora Reale Arena) en un momento en el que la victoria es más que posible ante el líder actual de la competición liguera. Se enfrentan en esta jornada dos equipos que están sorprendiendo, hasta cierto punto, durante el transcurso de lo que llevamos de LaLiga. La Real Sociedad había formado un buen plantel, pero pocos esperaban que respondiera como lo está haciendo. Por su parte, el Villarreal había invertido en fichajes y en fondo de armario desde la finalización tardía por la pandemia de la pasada temporada, pero su rendimiento está siendo excelente.
Si bien es cierto que ambos equipos llevan menos partidos que los rivales más cercanos en la tabla clasificatoria, no es menos cierto también que sobre el terreno de juego, tanto Real Sociedad como Villarreal, han demostrado su potencial deportivo. Una victoria hoy en San Sebastián impulsaría al Villarreal, no solo en la clasificación, sino en las aspiraciones reales ante las posiciones altas de la clasificación.

El Villarreal CF empató en su visita a Tel Aviv (1-1). El conjunto de Unai Emery sumó un punto ante el conjunto israelí que le deja a un solo paso de dieciseisavos de final de la UEFA Europa League. El Submarino se adelantó en el marcador por mediación de Baena, cuyo gol se vio contrarrestado al inicio del segundo tiempo por un tanto del equipo hebreo, obra de Pesic.
Finalmente, el Villarreal sumó un buen punto ante el Maccabi Tel Aviv que le permite consolidar su liderato del Grupo I de la UEFA Europa League, pero no es suficiente para sellar la clasificación a dieciseisavos de final.

El Villarreal CF ha puesto en marcha una nueva edición de su Campus de Navidad, que se celebrará en la Ciudad Deportiva PAMESA Cerámica del 28 al 31 de diciembre (de 09.00 a 14.00h). El evento será una oportunidad única para vivir las navidades como un auténtico futbolista del Villarreal, ya que los participantes entrenarán y disputarán enfrentamientos en las instalaciones oficiales del club amarillo.
Si tienes entre 4 y 17 años y quieres disfrutar de divertidas sesiones de entrenamiento, no dudes en apuntarte al Campus de Navidad rellenando este formulario. Por tan solo 150€ (140€ si eres jugador del fútbol base del Submarino Amarillo) podrás vivir de primera mano una experiencia única.

Llegó al Villarreal en verano de 2013, primero cedido y luego ya en propiedad. Sin embargo muy pronto, casi nada más llegar, consiguió ganarse un sitio en la historia del Villarreal como uno de los mejores jugadores que han vestido la elástica amarilla y también, al mismo tiempo, como uno de los más queridos. Asenjo es un portero ágil y con grandes reflejos. Es un cancerbero muy seguro y extremadamente fiable en el uno contra uno.
