Emery destaca las fortalezas del Levante UD
El entrenador del Villarreal CF, Unai Emery, ha destacado que su equipo intentará empezar con buen pie el 2021 con una victoria ante el Levante UD en el Estadio de la Cerámica (sábado, 14.00 horas). Para el técnico vasco no será nada sencillo, ya que destacó las fortalezas del conjunto ‘granota’: “Ahora están con confianza y ganando partidos. Tienen paciencia con el balón y crecen a partir de ahí porque son un equipo que maneja bien la pelota y no cambia su identidad. Espero un Levante que va a querer tener el balón, y que si puede va a correr a los espacios. Además tienen una buena estrategia, lo que les hace peligrosos. Se trata de un equipo bien estructurado y con experiencia en la categoría, lo que les da seguridad en el campo. Debemos hacer muy bien las cosas y concienciarnos de que nos espera un rival muy complicado”.

El Villarreal se hace con los servicios del centrocampista francés Étienne Capoue
El Villarreal CF y el Watford FC han alcanzado un acuerdo de traspaso por el centrocampista Étienne Capoue, que vestirá de amarillo lo que resta de temporada y dos campañas más (hasta junio de 2023). El club anunciará próximamente el día de presentación del futbolista francés como jugador amarillo. Cabe destacar que el nuevo futbolista del Villarreal CF no podrá debutar con el Submarino hasta el 4 de enero, que es cuando se abre el plazo de inscripción en el mercado invernal de fichajes. Eso sí, Capoue ya entrenará este jueves con sus nuevos compañeros en la Ciudad Deportiva.
Capoue, contención y equilibrio para la sala de máquinas
Étienne Capoue (11/07/1988, Niort, Francia) es un centrocampista defensivo de gran estatura y con una capacidad innata para recuperar el balón. Gracias a su portentoso físico es un jugador muy poderoso en el juego aéreo. Otras de sus grandes cualidades son su excelente colocación y su desplazamiento en largo. Pese a tratarse de un futbolista de contención, cuenta con capacidad para sumarse al ataque.
El centrocampista francés empezó su carrera como futbolista profesional en el FC Toulouse, donde jugó 196 encuentros. Tras seis temporadas en el conjunto galo, Capoue dio el salto a la Premier League para defender la elástica del Tottenham Hotspur. En el equipo londinense, militó dos campañas y disputó un total de 36 partidos. En 2015, cambió de aires y recaló en el Watford, club en el que ha jugado cinco temporadas y media, firmando un total de 181 apariciones.
Cabe destacar que Capoue es internacional absoluto con la Selección de Francia, habiendo vestido la elástica ‘bleu’ hasta en siete ocasiones.
