El Villarreal tiene un rival duro de roer
Un Villarreal que continua en la parte alta de la tabla se enfrenta a un Sevilla que es sexto. Aunque el equipo amarillo no está teniendo suerte con las lesiones no es menos cierto que sigue siendo uno de los equipos fuertes del campeonato. Delante tendrá a un Sevilla que no está haciendo una mala temporada y cuyo estadio siempre ha sido un lugar difícil en el que puntuar.
Tal y como declaraba Emery esta semana: “Nos van a exigir mucho. Va a ser un partido de 90 minutos en el que nuestro reto es ver dónde estamos ahora mismo en respecto a un rival directo como el Sevilla FC. La clasificación nos hace estar por delante, pero ellos tienen dos partidos menos. Es un reto que nos ilusiona”.
El técnico amarillo ha manifestado la dificultad del equipo rival y de los conjuntos dirigidos por su actual entrenador Julen Lopetegui: “Sus equipos tienen un sello muy definido. Además de ser competitivos y ganadores, tienen muy buen toque futbolístico. Ese es el Sevilla FC, un equipo con futbolistas veteranos y jóvenes, que sobre todo demuestran una madurez en el campo tremenda”.

Senna entrega los regalos de Navidad en los hospitales
Este año, debido a la pandemia, no pudo realizarse la tradicional visita de los jugadores del Villarreal
La pandemia del Covid-19 ha provocado que los jugadores del Villarreal CF no pudieran realizar la tradicional visita navideña a los hospitales de la provincia de Castellón y de Valencia. Pero los más pequeños sí que recibieron sus regalos. El encargado de llevarlos hasta el Hospital General de Castellón, La Plana de Vila -real y La Fe de Valencia fue el exjugador y actual miembro del departamento de Relaciones Institucionales del Villarreal CF, Marcos Senna.

Betxí, una nueva entrega de ‘Endavant província’
Un nuevo capítulo de la serie documental ‘Una provincia única’ disponible en el canal de YouTube del Villarreal CF
Esta vez, el exjugador amarillo visita la localidad de Betxí. Una localidad de aproximadamente 5.600 habitantes en la que se encuentra la peña del Villarreal CF Orgull Groguet Betxí, que cuenta con 145 abonados ‘groguets’. Marcos Senna descubrirá los lugares más emblemáticos del municipio ubicado en la comarca de la Plana Baixa como la Plaza Mayor, el Palau Castell, la Ermita del Calvari y la Muntanyeta de Sant Antoni. Además, Senna degustará la gastronomía local visitando un horno tradicional para probar las típicas “coquetes de sal i oli”.

Es un central zurdo con calidad que posee un excelente golpeo de balón. A esas cualidades hay que añadir su velocidad y contundencia en los duelos individuales, así como su enorme capacidad en el juego aéreo (mide 1,86). Además de jugar como central, Funes Mori también puede ocupar la posición de lateral izquierdo.
Funes Mori tan solo ha vestido la camiseta de dos clubes. Empezó su carrera profesional en River Plate, con el que tuvo una actuación muy destacada desde que debutara en noviembre del 2011. En agosto del 2015, después de cuatro años en el club argentino, Funes Mori fichó por el Everton FC. Precisamente ese año, en 2015, el defensa debutó con la Selección Argentina absoluta, con la que ha llegado a disputar 19 partidos (un gol).
Con River Plate jugó 92 partidos (8 goles), mientras que con el Everton FC disputó 67 encuentros (5 goles). En su palmarés cuenta con una Copa Libertadores (2015), una Copa Campeonato (2014), una Copa Sudamericana (2014) y una Recopa Sudamericana (2015). Todos estos trofeos los logró con River Plate.
