La victoria es la única opción ante el colista
No hay opción para otro resultado que la victoria ante el Osasuna, el colista de la competición. El Villarreal llega a Pamplona tras cuatro empates seguidos. El Villarreal supera la primera eliminatoria de la Copa del Rey al imponerse por 0-6 al Leioa
El Villarreal venció con solvencia al Leioa de Segunda B y superó la primera eliminatoria de la Copa del Rey (0-6). Los goles del choque fueron de Yeremy, Fer Niño, Jaume Costa, Sofian Chakla, Álex Millán y Pedraza
Unai Emery dibujó sobre el embarrado terreno de juego un once titular que tenía una mezcla de juventud y experiencia. Hombres como Mario Gaspar, Jaume Costa, Alfonso Pedraza o Funes Mori junto a hasta ocho jugadores que han pasado por la Cantera Grogueta fueron titulares.

Emery: «Queremos disfrutar de nuestro camino en la Copa»
El entrenador del Villarreal destacó el respeto con el que el Submarino inició la Copa del Rey
El entrenador del Villarreal, Unai Emery, alabó el trabajo de todos sus hombres tras la holgada victoria conseguida ante el Leioa (0-6) en la primera eliminatoria de la Copa del Rey. “Hemos planteado el partido con el respeto que merece. Queremos disfrutar de nuestro camino en la Copa. Queremos competirla. Hemos competido desde el principio y cogiendo confianza con el paso de los minutos. En el segundo tiempo ellos bajaron moralmente tras nuestro tercer gol. Me quedo con la fiabilidad del equipo, la seriedad y el respeto que ha tenido. Ha sido una noche bonita en cuanto al trabajo que queríamos”, comentó.
Para Emery, el equipo dio la cara en todo momento y destacó que una gran cantidad de canteranos participaron en el envite: “Hemos empezado con ocho canteranos en el once y eso dice mucho y muy bien del trabajo del club con la cantera. Les rodeamos de gente con más experiencia. Que hayan debutado Carlo y Millán ojalá sirva de motivación para los jóvenes que están en la cantera”.
El Villarreal continúa con su espectacular racha sin perder. “Ganar siempre es satisfactorio. Llevamos una línea regular y somos fiables. Hemos aprovechado este partido para sentir la confianza de volver a ganar tras varios empates en Liga”.
Para finalizar, Emery habló sobre el próximo compromiso ante el Osasuna (sábado, 18.30 horas): “El sábado en Pamplona tenemos otro reto. Vamos a ver qué bajas tenemos, pero seguro que tenemos un equipo de garantías para competir y buscar la victoria en LaLiga que últimamente se nos ha resistido”.

Pau es un central zurdo con buena salida del balón desde la zaga. Es un defensa rápido, seguro y, debido a su envergadura, con facilidad para el remate de cabeza en las acciones a balón parado. Sus cualidades y características hacen de él el prototipo ideal del central destinado a triunfar en los próximos años. Su juventud le asegura aún, además, un margen de mejora importante, lo que ya le ha convertido en un codiciado “objeto” de deseo para muchos importantes equipos, sobre todo del viejo continente. Su gran rendimiento le ha convertido en internacional con la Selección Absoluta.
