Nueva jornada y nuevo partido con horario de esos que, aún hoy en día, se hace extraño. El Villarreal se medirá al Getafe en el Coliseum Alfonso Pérez a las 14:00 horas del domingo. A la hora de la paella los aficionados amarillos tienen un nuevo partido. El Villarreal sigue mostrándose bastante sólido en cuanto al juego y está cosechando buenos resultados en este primer esprint de la competición, resultados positivos que deberían de alargarse en este viaje a Getafe y, con ello, traerse un buen resultado tras el encuentro.
La jornada 9 nos trae varios partidos de esos que se pueden considerar interesantes. El Barcelona – Betis del sábado es uno de esos «clásicos» de la competición liguera. El Betis no conoce el empate, 4 victorias y 4 derrotas dejan bien a las claras que su tránsito por el torneo está siendo un tanto extraño. Enfrente estará el Barcelona, un Barcelona que parece haber perdido el líder que tenía sobre el campo y ahora también con la ausencia de presidente en los despachos. Un partido que marcará, en parte, el devenir y las sensaciones de los dos equipos antes del parón que sufrirá la competición tras esta jornada para la disputa de 3 partidos de la Selección Española, un amistoso ante Holanda y dos dentro de la UEFA Nations League.
Del resto de la jornada podemos destacar el Atlético de Madrid – Cádiz, cuarto frente a quinto respectivamente (aunque el el Atlético con 2 partidos menos), y un siempre interesante Valencia – Real Madrid. Los ‘ches’ viven momentos difíciles, sobre el campo y fuera del mismo. A la crisis institucional se une la crisis deportiva con un equipo que ha sido prácticamente desmantelado por su dueño. Delante estará el Real Madrid, un equipo que parece haber encontrado la senda de la victoria y que siempre es un rival poderoso y temible para cualquier equipo, juegue quien juegue o entrenado por quien sea.
