- L’alcaldessa de Borriana, Maria Josep Safont, i el director territorial d’Educació i Cultura a Castelló, Alfred Remolar, han visitat els treballs d’instal·lació de les aules prefabricades
- El solar de l’antic IES Llombai albergarà un total de 218 mòduls de 15m², que configuraran 82 espais provisionals
L’IES Jaume I de Borriana podrà realitzar el trasllat a l’aulari provisional que s’està construint en el solar de l’antic IES Llombai, el pròxim Nadal, tot tenint en compte el “bon ritme dels treballs d’instal·lació”, segons han manifestat l’alcaldessa de Borriana, Maria Josep Safont, i el director territorial d’Educació, Cultura i Esport a Castelló, Alfred Remolar, després de la visita a les obres d’instal·lació de les aules prefabricades per a reubicar, provisionalment, el professorat i l’estudiantat de l’IES Jaume I.
En la visita han participat també el tercer tinent d’alcalde, Vicent Granel, el regidor d’Educació, J. Ramon Monferrer, i la directora de l’IES Jaume I, M. Carmen Usó. En el reconeixement han supervisat els treballs d’instal·lació de l’aulari per a constatar la seua marxa i comprovar que, “si no hi ha cap imprevist, estiga tot llest per a fer el trasllat a aquest emplaçament el més ràpidament possible, i perquè a principis del pròxim any puguen iniciar-se els treballs d’enderrocament de l’actual IES”, ha assegurat l’alcaldessa.
Cal recordar que a finals de setembre es van iniciar els treballs i d’aquesta forma poder, com més prompte millor, iniciar l’enderrocament de l’edifici i la construcció del nou IES Jaume I.
Maria Josep Safont ha destacat que el solar de l’antic Llombai alberga la construcció d’instal·lacions provisionals “més gran, fins al moment, de la Comunitat Valenciana”. La superfície total que es construeix amb els mòduls prefabricats per part de la Conselleria d’Educació, Cultura i Esport ascendirà, una vegada completada la instal·lació, a un total de 4.320 m².
Una superfície que, ha precisat l’alcaldessa, allotjarà un total de 218 mòduls de 15m², que configuraran fins a 82 espais de diferent índole per a situar aules, lavabos, biblioteca, sales, etc, i que depenent de la seua utilització seran de diferents superfícies. Concretament, disposarà de 18 espais de 15m², 14 de 30m², 35 de 45m², 13 de 60m², 1 de 90m² i 1 de 135m².
El nou IES Jaume I de Borriana es construirà en la mateixa parcel·la que ocupa actualment, de 19.327m², i les obres, segons ha indicat ja licitades, compten amb un pressupost global que ascendeix a més de 13 milions d’euros. Aquestes obres d’enderrocament i edificació formen part del pla de construcció d’infraestructures educatives, Edificant, i està finançat per la Generalitat Valenciana a través de la Conselleria d’Educació, Cultura i Esports. La redacció del projecte ha sigut realitzada per Santatecla Arquitectes SLP.
Amb la construcció de la futura infraestructura educativa, es renovaran les obsoletes instal·lacions del primer institut que es va construir a la ciutat fa més de cinquanta anys. Serà un centre educatiu completament nou, punter en matèria d’eficiència energètica i un dels de major capacitat construïts actualment dins del Pla Edificant de la Conselleria d’Educació de la Generalitat Valenciana.
