El obispo de la diócesis anima a los feligreses a ‘seguir imitando el carisma de San Francisco ’ y agradece ‘la labor de todos los implicados en la vida y misión de la parroquia”
Con toda la solemnidad, la parroquia de San Francisco de Vila -real ha iniciado los actos conmemorativos del 50 aniversario de su fundación. Ha sido con una celebración eucarística que ha presidido el obispo de la diócesis Segorbe-Castellón, Mons. D. Casimiro López Llorente que ha agradecido la labor de todos los que han sido gestores de la parroquia. “También es momento de dar gracias por todos aquellos implicados en la vida y misión de la parroquia, así como por todos aquellos que sin hacer ruido, han ofrecido su oración para ser una comunidad viva y evangelizadora”, ha dicho durante la homilía López Llorente. El obispo de la diócesis también ha animado a los feligreses a seguir las huellas de los antepasados y a “seguir imitando el carisma de San Francisco de Asís que nos lleva siempre al Señor”, ha añadido.
La celebración ha contado con la participación de toda la comunidad de frailes franciscanos formada por Fr. Francesc Costa, Fr. Miquel Almiñana, Fr. Lluís Pitarch y Fr. Mariano Martí n , así como con la presencia de las autoridades municipales, con el alcalde José Benlloch a la cabeza. La Fundació Caixa Rural Vila -real, representada por su director, Manuel Cubertorer, el consejo parroquial y diferentes colectivos locales han estado representados en la misa de este 50 aniversario a la que también han asistido feligreses y vecinos del barrio. Como en todas las ceremonias especiales que acoge la parroquia, cabe destacar la actuación del coro parroquial, así como la proyección de imágenes que enriquecen todavía más si cabe el desarrollo de la celebración.

Realidad y futuro del franciscanismo
Mañana lunes 2 de diciembre a las 20 horas, la iglesia de San Francisco acogerá una conferencia sobre el presente y el futuro del franciscanismo en la provincia de la Inmaculada a cargo del propio ministro provincial de los franciscanos, Fr. Juan Carlos Moya. El próximo de los actos de la programación del 50 aniversario llegará el 21 de diciembre, como preámbulo de la Navidad, con un recital de canciones navideñas que interpretará el coro ‘Cantarem’. A lo largo de 2020 la parroquia de San Francisco continuará celebrando sus cinco décadas de actividad, y lo hará en febrero con una exposición de acuarelas de José Benlliure, en abril con un concierto del grupo Ain Karem y diferentes conferencias, además de actividades especiales con los niños y jóvenes de la parroquia durante la primavera. Un viaje con destino franciscano y una jornada de cineforum, serán otras de las actividades que se llevarán a cabo dentro de la conmemoración que llegará a su fin con la presentación de una publicación y una eucaristía de clausura que coincidirá con la festividad de San Francisco de Asís, el 4 de octubre de 2020.
