El equipo de Emery suma un punto pese a ser muy superior a su rival en El Alcoraz
El Villarreal empató ante la SD Huesca (0-0) en su visita a El Alcoraz. El conjunto amarillo fue superior y llevó la iniciativa ante un rival que se volcó en defensa y se conformó con el empate. Ante un rival tan trabajado defensivamente, el equipo de Unai Emery no fue capaz de traducir el dominio en grandes oportunidades.
Mermado por las lesiones, el Villarreal saltó al césped de El Alcoraz con un once inicial inédito, en el que volvían a entrar Carlos Bacca como referencia ofensiva y Ramiro Funes Mori acompañando a Pau y Raúl Albiol en el eje de la zaga. En un dibujo con tres centrales, Unai Emery apostó por Peña y Pedraza como carrileros.
Desde el pitido inicial, el conjunto amarillo se mostró bien ordenado en el campo, construyendo con criterio y ejerciendo una fantástica presión tras pérdida que impedía al Huesca generar acciones de peligro.
No obstante, pese al patente dominio ‘groguet’, el Villarreal se topó con el excelente trabajo defensivo del equipo oscense, que defendía con las líneas juntas y concediendo apenas espacios.
La única oportunidad de gol que dejó el primer tiempo la tuvo en sus botas Carlos Bacca, que, casi sin ángulo, disparó de rabona y estrelló el balón en el poste más lejano. La acción fue invalidada posteriormente por fuera de juego.
Recién comenzada la segunda mitad, el Villarreal tuvo una excelente oportunidad de abrir el marcador. El portero local, Álvaro Fernández , atajó un gran disparo de Moi Gómez desde el corazón del área, tras una rápida transición conducida por Parejo y Pedraza.
En el minuto 60, Emery movió el banquillo en busca de futbolistas que revolucionaran el ataque del Submarino. El técnico amarillo introdujo a Paco Alcácer y Yeremy en sustitución de Bacca y Manu Trigueros. También entraron al terreno de juego Estupiñán, Coquelin y Fer Niño.
El Villarreal no tuvo la lucidez en ataque de otros encuentros y no fue capaz de desarbolar el trabajado entramado defensivo de la SD Huesca. Cumplido el minuto 90, el partido concluyó con un resultado de 0-0 y su consiguiente reparto de puntos en El Alcoraz.
