El técnico amarillo ha dedicado la victoria a Vicente Iborra, lesionado de gravedad en la pasada jornada de LaLiga
El entrenador del Villarreal Unai Emery ha comparecido en sala de prensa para analizar la victoria del Submarino ante el CA Osasuna (1-3) en El Sadar: “Aquí 90 minutos siempre son muy largos. Sabíamos que iban a tener sus momentos. Han iniciado el partido con mucha presión, hemos sido capaces de superarla y llegar a su portería para hacer los dos primeros goles. Es cierto que la expulsión les ha condicionado mucho, ya que, cuando iban al ataque, dejaban más espacios atrás y podíamos aprovecharlos”.
El técnico amarillo ha elogiado el trabajo de los suyos, que han sabido frenar a un equipo con mucha garra: “Es un equipo con corazón, que, pese a las dificultades, puede ponerte en apuros. Los hemos contenido bien hasta la jugada del penalti. El 1-2 les metía en el partido. Creo que tenemos jugadores muy maduros, que saben interpretar bien las situaciones del juego y hemos sabido gestionar las necesidades en cada momento, siendo capaces de encontrar espacios y tener la calma para hacer el tercer tanto”.
Por último, Emery ha elogiado el excelente partido de Gerard Moreno , protagonista con su doblete ante el Osasuna: “Es un jugador de la casa que ya cuenta con cierta experiencia. Ante el Betis, no encontramos su mejor versión y hoy ha vuelto a ser determinante. Ha marcado dos goles y ha hecho un gran partido. Es un reflejo para los jóvenes. Sus números individuales nos ayudan a crecer como equipo”.
