El Villarreal se impone al Valencia con goles de Paco Alcácer (p) y Parejo y se coloca líder provisional de LaLiga
Con este resultado, el Villarreal se coloca líder provisional de LaLiga con 11 puntos sumados en seis jornadas disputadas
Unai Emery confió de nuevo en el 4-3-3, con dos novedades por lesión. Pedraza reemplazó a Estupiñán en el carril zurdo de la defensa y Chukwueze a Gerard como atacante por la derecha.
El partido empezó muy bien para los intereses amarillos. Chukwueze cambió el sentido del juego hacia la banda izquierda, Pedraza controló y fue objeto de un claro penalti por parte de Gabriel. Paco Alcácer inauguró el marcador lanzando la pena máxima y engañando por completo a Jaume (m. 5).
El Submarino dominaba la posesión del balón y creaba peligro, aunque el Valencia también tenía sus armas al contragolpe. El Villarreal pudo ampliar su renta con un tiro demasiado flojo de Moi Gómez , otro que se fue alto de Chukwueze y por último con un zurdazo de Pedraza que repelió con apuros el guardameta valencianista.
El Valencia logró empatar en el 36’ con un tremendo derechazo de Guedes desde la frontal del área. Con el 1-1 se llegó al tiempo de descanso.
En el segundo acto siguió la emoción. Unai Emery dio entrada a Coquelin y Take cuando se cumplía la hora de juego en busca de darle aún más energía al equipo.
El 2-1 llevó la firma de Dani Parejo. El centrocampista madrileño recogió el balón tras un toque de Take y soltó un derechazo que entró como un obús en la portería valencianista tras tocar en el larguero (min. 68).
Los últimos minutos fueron de auténtico infarto. No aptos para cardíacos. Más aún cuando Take fue expulsado por doble amarilla tras una acción con Carlos Soler en la que tocó balón (m. 92). Además, Parejo acabó tocado, pero pese a todo el marcador ya no se movería para alegría de los amarillos.
El próximo partido del Villarreal será contra el Sivasspor en la primera jornada de la Fase de Grupos de la UEFA Europa League en el Estadio de la Cerámica (jueves, 21.00 horas).

El capitán del Villarreal CF, Mario Gaspar, lució un brazalete rosa en señal de apoyo a la lucha contra el cáncer de mama. Sus compañeros también portaron una cinta rosa. Por su parte, los jugadores del Valencia llevaron brazaletes negros en recuerdo del que fuera delegado del equipo, Bernardo España ‘Españeta’.
