El Villarreal viaja hasta tierras andaluzas para enfrentarse a un Sevilla que es sexto, a tres puntos del Villarreal, pero con dos partidos menos que los amarillos. Partido difícil y complicado siempre el que se disputa contra los de la capital andaluza, pero el Villarreal, a pesar de las lesiones, aún tiene armas para salir indemne de la dura batalla que se le presenta.
De entre el resto de la jornada destaca el derbi entre el Athletic y la Real Sociedad. Un Athletic irregular y una Real que está haciendo una muy buena temporada. Será un interesante partido con algo más que los puntos en juego.
