El entrenador del Villarreal elogia el trabajo del equipo al mismo tiempo que lamenta no haber podido vencer
El Villarreal empató ante el Real Madrid, pero mereció mucho más en el resultado final. Así confirmaba las sensaciones Unai Emery: “Su gol fue un error. Nos pilló despistados a todos, incluso al asistente. A partir de ahí estuvimos aturdidos, pero mejoramos y progresivamente llegamos más a su área. Desde mi punto de vista empatar contra el campeón nos puede dejar satisfechos, pero visto el partido tengo la sensación de que los tres puntos deberían haber sido nuestros. Debemos seguir mejorando. Merecimos ganar”.
Emery ha incidido en la potencial del rival de hoy: “El Real Madrid ha jugado con una serie de jugadores acostumbrados a ganar Champions. Nos hemos preparado bien para este partido y no creo que el resultado hubiese sido distinto con Ramos y Casemiro en el once”.
El entrenador amarillo piensa en positivo de cara al futuro: “Quiero estabilidad en nuestro crecimiento. Este resultado nos hace seguir por el buen camino, pero la autoexigencia es alta. Creo que nos hemos dejado dos puntos y no nos vamos satisfechos del todo. Estamos dando pasos para crecer”.
