Sin ninguna duda el partido destacado de la jornada 5 de LaLiga es, precisamente, el Atlético de Madrid-Villarreal. El equipo amarillo recobró la senda de la victoria en el último partido frente al Alavés. El Atlético, por su parte, no pasó del empate a 0 frente a la SD Huesca. Ambos equipos han mostrado aspectos positivos y negativos en los pocos partidos disputados hasta la fecha. Lo que nos podamos encontrar en su particular cara a cara es, en este momento, una incógnita.
El Atlético parte con la ventaja de jugar en campo propio aunque, claro está, sin la transcendencia que supone contar con el favor del público. El potencial del equipo madrileño es notable, la incorporación de Luis Suárez supone un hecho importante a tener en cuenta en la dinámica de los colchoneros. El Villarreal, por otro lado, cuenta un dúo atacante de lo más efectivo hasta le fecha. Alcácer y Gerard han acaparado todos los goles conseguidos hasta ahora por el Submarino, es lo que se espera de ellos y están cumpliendo. Una victoria en Madrid sería importante, no ya solo en la parte anímica sino de cara a permanecer en esos primeros puestos de la clasificación que abren las puertas a Europa .
