El entrenador del Villarreal, Unai Emery, cree que el equipo mereció la victoria ante el Valladolid
Los amarillos se colocan terceros en la clasificación de LaLiga
El entrenador del Villarreal, Unai Emery, ha destacado en la rueda de prensa posterior al partido ante el Valladolid que el equipo cuajó un buen partido y fue merecedor de la victoria por 2-0. “El partido tuvo diversos momentos. En el primer tiempo controlamos el partido como queríamos, llegando con peligro a su área. Además, concedimos muy poco al rival. En la segunda parte fuimos progresivamente perdiendo ‘punch’, aunque seguimos creando ocasiones. El Valladolid también tuvo ocasiones y eso nos hizo tener alguna duda. En general, estamos muy satisfechos y merecimos ganar”, argumentó Emery.
Para el técnico vasco la clasificación es una mera anécdota, aunque se muestra satisfecho con la trayectoria que está llevando el equipo, que tan solo ha perdido un partido en la presente temporada: “Ser terceros es anecdótico, pero estamos haciendo nuestro camino sin mirar a los demás. Estamos siendo competitivos. El equipo ha dado un paso adelante. Vamos mejorando y queremos seguir así en los próximos partidos. Estoy muy contento con la trayectoria del equipo”.
El Villarreal afrenta esta semana dos partidos más que sumar a su agenda. El jueves día 5 de noviembre recibirá a las 21:00 horas en el Estadio de la Cerámica al Maccabi Tel-Aviv, en lo que es un nuevo partido de la fase de grupos de la Europa League. El domingo 8 de noviembre los amarillos volverán a LaLiga enfrentándose al Getafe a las 14:00 horas en el Coliseum Alfonso Pérez .
