Emery valora como positivo el empate a 0 goles conseguido por el Villarreal en el Wanda Metropolitano frente al Atlético de Madrid: “Es un buen punto. Queríamos sumar los tres que había en juego, pero hemos hecho un buen partido y nos vamos satisfechos. Estamos yendo por el buen camino y nos sirve para establecer bases sólidas de cara al futuro”.
El entrenador del Villarreal entiende que la visita al feudo rojiblanco entrañaba una dificultad que se ha solventado con nota: “El nivel competitivo ha sido muy bueno. Hemos sabido sufrir, aunque sin conceder mucho al Atlético de Madrid. También hemos tenido nuestros momentos de posesión, dominio y control del juego e incluso hemos dispuesto de cuatro o cinco ocasiones para llevarnos el partido”.
