El entrenador del Villarreal ha destacado que el equipo ha hecho un partido muy completo ante la SD Eibar
El entrenador del Villarreal, Unai Emery, ha comparecido ante los medios de comunicación para analizar la primera victoria de la temporada. El técnico ha destacado la capacidad de reacción del Submarino pese a empezar por debajo en el marcador: “Hemos tenido una respuesta muy importante al gol del Eibar. También la tuvimos ante el Huesca. Ha sido un duro test en el que tenemos ocasiones e incluso goles anulados por el VAR. Eso es una señal de que estamos haciendo las cosas bien, pero nos ha faltado culminar en los últimos metros”.
Pese a las buenas sensaciones y el triunfo cosechado Emery reconoce que el equipo tiene margen de mejora: “Hemos hecho un partido para ganarlo y coger confianza, pero hay aspectos en los que debemos seguir creciendo. En defensa, hay situaciones que debemos de pulir y evitar que se produzcan. En ataque, queremos seguir incidiendo en que nuestra idea de juego se imponga”.
Emery también ha ensalzado el gran encuentro de Gerard Moreno , aportando un gol y una asistencia, en la victoria: “Es un jugador que siente el Villarreal. La temporada pasada hizo 18 goles en LaLiga y está haciendo un excelente inicio de campaña. Es un jugador muy importante para nosotros”.
