Vila -real ha celebrat aquesta vesprada una missa per la festivitat de la Mare de Déu del Carme amb totes les mesures higièniques i de prevenció sanitàries concordes a la nova normalitat. Enguany no s’ha realitzat la processó que acompanya tradicionalment a l’acte a causa de la situació de crisi sanitària.
L’eucarística, organitzada pel Tercer Orde del Carme, ha comptat amb la col·laboració de la Regidoria de Tradicions per a preparar el pati del col·legi amb totes les mesures necessàries per a garantir la seguretat dels fidels. Entre elles, cartelleria amb les normes sanitàries, senyalització per a les indicacions d’entrada i eixida del recinte i mantindre la distància social, així com la donació de gel hidroalcohòlic.
Enguany l’organització ha decidit que la festivitat només comptaria amb el tret de coets i volteig de campanes i l’eucaristia. Cal recordar que anys anteriors aquesta festivitat comptava amb la processó pels carrers adjacents al convent dels Pares Carmelites de Vila -real i el ‘cant de la carxofa’, actes de la festivitat que han estat suprimits per la COVID-19.
La corporació municipal, encapçalada per l’alcalde, José Benlloch, la reina i les dames de la ciutat han participat en la festivitat.
