Somalia recibe el material donado por el Villarreal CF
El club amarillo ha colaborado en la iniciativa solidaria impulsada por el contingente español en el país africano
El material deportivo donado por el Villarreal CF, junto a la FFCV, el Levante UD, el Valencia CF, el Elche CF, el CD Castellón y el Hércules CF, ya ha llegado a Somalia y ha sido entregado a diferentes equipos del país africano durante las pasadas navidades.
El club amarillo colaboró en esta iniciativa promovida por el contingente español en EUTM-Somalia por medio de la Delegación de Defensa en la Comunidad Valenciana con el propósito de fomentar el deporte como parte de las acciones complementarias de estabilización del país y coincidiendo con la reapertura del estadio nacional de fútbol de Mogadiscio.
En la foto, posan jugadores de los diferentes equipos somalís, autoridades de civiles de la zona, el Comandante de la Fuerza el General Fabiano Zizone (Jefe de EUTM-Somalia) y el Jefe de Apoyo dela EUTM-Somalia, el Coronel José Luis Sales.
Cabe recordar que el EUTM-S tiene como principal objetivo el fortalecimiento de las instituciones federales de defensa somalíes, pero como vienen siendo habitual en este tipo de misiones internacionales, también está actualmente implicada en un proyecto de cooperación cívico-militar que tiene por objetivo la creación de un espacio donde los adolescentes y jóvenes somalís desarrollen sus actitudes y capacidades a través de un deporte tan consolidado a nivel mundial como es el fútbol.
La misión de entrenamiento en Somalia es una organización dependiente de la Unión Europea que junto a otras organizaciones internacionales contribuye al desarrollo de la seguridad y la prestación de servicios básicos en Somalia, en un esfuerzo conjunto para mejorar las condiciones de vida de su población.
