Fr. Juan Carlos Moya, ministro provincial de los franciscanos anima a los feligreses a ‘ser innovadores, con Cristo en el centro de su actividad’ y agradece a todos los que han trabajado por la parroquia en estos 50 años
Con toda la solemnidad, la parroquia de San Francisco de Vila -real ha clausurado los actos conmemorativos del 50 aniversario de su fundación y lo ha hecho en un día importante, coincidiendo con el 4 de octubre, festividad de San Francisco de Asís.
La celebración eucarística estuvo presidida por el ministro provincial de los franciscanos, Fr. Juan Carlos Moya, quien apeló a San Francisco y a su inmensa fe, “que nos invita a referirnos al Evangelio, el cual nos permite responder con confianza y valentía a los desafíos del mundo”, destacaba. Durante su intervención también animó a los feligreses a “ser innovadores, poniendo a Cristo en el centro de sus actividades”, dijo durante la homilía Moya, quien terminó agradeciendo a todas aquellas personas que trabajan o han trabajado durante estos 50 años en la parroquia.
La celebración contó con la participación de toda la comunidad de frailes franciscanos formada por Fr. Francesc Costa, Fr. Miquel Almiñana, Fr. Lluís Pitarch y Fr. Mariano Martí n , así como con la presencia de las autoridades municipales, con el alcalde José Benlloch a la cabeza. La Fundació Caixa Rural Vila -real, el consejo parroquial, la comunidad de religiosas de Ntra. Sra. de la Consolación y diferentes colectivos locales estuvieron representados en la misa del día de San Francisco como colofón a un 50 aniversario que, aunque truncado en parte por la situación epidemiológica, ha contado con muy buena respuesta por parte de feligreses y vecinos del barrio y del conjunto de Vila -real. Como en todas las ceremonias especiales que acoge la parroquia, cabe destacar la actuación del coro parroquial, así como la proyección de imágenes que enriquecieron todavía más si cabe el desarrollo de la celebración.
De aquí a final de año, la parroquia tiene pensado preparar una publicación conmemorativa que recoja el testimonio de todos los colectivos, así como un recuerdo especial con imágenes significativas de estas bodas de oro en la que se han llevado a cabo también conferencias, conciertos y la exposición ‘Sant Francesc somiat per Benlliure’. Por su parte, otras actividades como un ciclo de cineforum, actividades con los niños y jóvenes de la parroquia, un viaje y un concierto han tenido que ser cancelados por la imposibilidad de celebrarse en estos últimos meses.
