Los agentes usan esta tecnología para controlar especialmente los accesos a la ciudad y otras zonas que pueden ser sensibles en estos días festivos
La Policía Local de la Vall d’Uixó ha reforzado los controles que realiza diariamente para garantizar el cumplimiento del Real Decreto del Estado de Alarma con drones de vigilancia, especialmente en los accesos a la ciudad y otras zonas que pueden ser sensibles en estos días festivos, como el Paratge de Sant Josep.
El uso de drones en operativos de vigilancia y seguridad de la Policía Local se inició en 2017 y desde entonces se ha utilizado para prevenir robos y vertidos en el campo y como apoyo en actos multitudinarios. La aplicación de esta tecnología “nos ayuda a llevar a cabo una vigilancia más precisa y eficaz, principalmente en puntos calientes o estratégicos”, tal y como ha explicado el concejal de Seguridad Ciudadana, Javier Ferreres.
Además este sistema permite a los agentes controlar zonas a las que es más difícil acceder, de manera que según ha detallado el edil “si detectan movimiento de vehículos o personas, que pudieran estar haciendo deporte, por ejemplo, en caminos rurales” la Policía Local puede actuar de inmediato.
A través de diversas cámaras instaladas en la vía pública la Policía Local también monitorea en directo qué está pasando desde el retén. En definitiva, se trata de “poner la tecnología a disposición de la seguridad y la protección de la ciudadanía”, ante esta situación de emergencia sanitaria provocada por el coronavirus.
