El entrenador del Villarreal lamenta la oportunidad perdida ante el Granada
El entrenador del Villarreal CF, Unai Emery, ha lamentado en la rueda de prensa posterior al partido el penalti fallado en los últimos minutos ante el Granada que le podría haber dado el triunfo a los amarillos. Finalmente, el choque acabó con 2-2 en el marcador. “Paco es especialista y ha marcado muchos penaltis. Hay que seguir apoyándole. La clasificación está muy comprimida y la victoria nos habría afianzado en esa parte alta. Ahora empezamos la segunda vuelta y tenemos que seguir mejorando. El equipo está trabajando bien”, comentó.
Para Emery, el partido fue muy igualado, aunque las mejores ocasiones fueron para los amarillos: “Los 90 minutos fueron según lo previsto. Intentamos evitar su presión teniendo mucha paciencia como para seguir nuestro plan de partido. Evitamos que el Granada corriese, pero en el gol de Soldado nos cogieron. Luego no llegamos con todo el peligro que queríamos, pero tuvimos opciones para llevarnos los tres puntos. Defensivamente hicimos un gran trabajo. Nos quedamos con un empate agridulce”.
