Unai Emery valora el nuevo empate logrado por el Villarreal en tierras andaluzas
En palabras posteriores a la celebración del partido el entrenador del Villarreal, Unai Emery, ha analizado el partido en el Benito Villamarín y el empate cosechado en el mismo. “Podemos pensar que el empate ante el Betis puede ser positivo con las circunstancias y condiciones que se han dado en el partido. Las tres lesiones nos han condicionado mucho a la hora de hacer los cambios y en cómo llevar el control del partido cuando íbamos por delante en el marcador”, ha argumentado el entrenador amarillo.
Emery ha hecho hincapié en la fuerza mental del equipo, que ha conseguido rehacerse a las dificultades que se ha ido encontrando durante los 90 minutos. “Su gol nos ha dejado noqueados unos minutos, pero hemos logrado recuperar el control y hemos acabado el partido buscando la victoria. Nos vamos con una sensación muy extraña. El partido ha tenido muchos contratiempos. Teníamos que haber estado muy acertados con todo lo que ha pasado para haber logrado el triunfo”.
Al respecto del nuevo empate que consigue el Villarreal en el campeonato liguero Emery ha incidido en que «cuatro empates consecutivos no son buenos. Nos estamos dejando más puntos de los que nos gustaría. Aunque hay que destacar que el equipo ha querido ir a por el choque y ha estado más cerca de ganar que el Betis, con el que mantenemos la ventaja de seis puntos en la tabla clasificatoria”.
