El 25 de noviembre está marcado en el calendario como el día internacional de la eliminación de la violencia contra la mujer. Y en el Colegio Virgen del Carmen de Vila -real han querido trabajar desde el área de educación plástica, visual y audiovisual, con el alumnado de 2º, 3º y 4º de ESO para concienciar y denunciar esta lacra de nuestra sociedad.
Desde el departamento de educación plástica, visual y audiovisual, los días previos al 25 de noviembre, los alumnos y las alumnas de 2º, 3º y 4º de secundaria han realizado una instalación artística colaborativa en el patio del colegio para concienciar y sensibilizar ante la situación de violencia, discriminación y desprotección que sufren diariamente las mujeres en todo el mundo.
La instalación tiene como referencia la obra itinerante “Zapatos Rojos” de la artista mexicana Elina Chauvet, la cual ha recorrido diferentes países con la intención de sensibilizar sobre este hecho. Además, se ha ido un paso más allá en la reflexión de la obra de Chauvet con el testimonio de la artista Chiharu Shiota. Esta artista interpreta los diferentes objetos como contenedores de historias que evocan personas y momentos determinados.
Por todo esto, la comunidad educativa al completo se ha volcado en traer zapatos que ya no usaba para contribuir a la elaboración de esta instalación. A diferencia de la obra de Chauvet, en nuestra obra no solo hay zapatos de mujer, sino que también los hay de hombre. Con ello queremos transmitir el mensaje que todos tenemos nuestra responsabilidad para conseguir la igualdad entre los géneros y eliminar de nuestra sociedad cualquier conducta violenta hacia la mujer por el mero hecho de serlo.
Así pues, mediante el estudio de dos artistas y aprovechando un día tan marcado como lo es el 25 de noviembre. El alumnado de educación secundaria han aprendido, se han concienciado y han ayudado a concienciar a toda la comunidad educativa mediante su creación.
